About TRACS

TRACS was formed 2007 as a retail crime initiative, when retailers, police officers and representatives of the City Councils met to discuss issues surrounding retail crime.

Aims and Objectives

To gather, collate, process, exchange and manage all information relating to retail crime.

Specifically the scheme’s aims are:

The prevention and detection of crime.

To reduce the opportunity to commit crime.

The apprehension and prosecution of offenders.

To create a “safe and secure” environment for customers and staff.

To strengthen partnerships with the Police, local authority and others.
